METAL CULTURE: LOVING LODGE LANE
JULY 2023, LIVERPOOL

Hired to do screen printing onto t-shirts, paper, and tote bags, at the Love in Lodge Lane, a community event for families during the summer school break. I provided the illustrated design work for the screens, logo, and color-in sheets featuring buildings, people, fruit, and veg. from Lodge Lane. Lodge Lane is famous for the different cuisines and veg markets called Manchester and Spendwell. It is where I attended Tiber Street School, which does not exist, so a lot of memories of Lodge Lane. The theme is about food and what food means to me, especially food from foreign countries. Which I am used to because of my parents' African upbringing. Certain Foods (Nigerian, Indian) is home for me and takes me back to my childhood.

RECYCLED PLASTIC JEWELLERY WORKSHOP
OCT. 2022,  DOES LIVERPOOL

Working with Plastic Tactics CIC to demonstrate how recycled jewellery can be created with recycled plastic waste. The plastic waste is from household waste materials, milk bottles, bottle tops, food containers, etc...
1. The first part is about how to identify the right plastic for melting.
2. Next step is arranging the colours to be melted.
3. The next step will be melting the plastic on the Hotplate
4. Once melted, leave to cool. During the cooling process, the plastic forms into whatever shape is desired. In this case, flat sheets, about 2-3mm.
5. At this point, you can choose to laser-cut the sheet, form the sheet into another shape, or cut the sheet using a Coping Saw.
